About the event
A Comprehensive Introduction to Nonviolent Communication and Needs-awareness
The Discovery Retreat is an opportunity for anyone who has some familiarity with NVC and wants a comprehensive introductory training on a professional level. The retreat takes us from the very beginning concepts to a deeper understanding of the purpose, meaning and implications NVC has in our lives and in the world. We will practice responding and communicating consciously based on our awareness and connection to needs.
Participants are offered a deeper understanding and experience of this new generation of communication skills. During the training we will establish a clear idea of what NVC is and what it is not. Through exercises, demonstrations, role-plays and more, participants will have first-hand experience practicing skills to bring into their daily lives.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Completing this training fulfills the pre-requisites to attend the Empathy Intensive Training, Monthly Alumni Teleworkshops, Empathy Cafes and Empathy Circles.
Facilitated by special guest Thom Bond, Founder of NYCNVC and author of The Compassion Book, and Sage Knight, NVC Trainer
