International Women’s Day Walk

March 8 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Pacific

A communal time of self-restoration and celebration!

About this event

Throughout history, we have seen a correlation between how people connect with Nature and how they treat women. In celebration of International Women's Day, I'd like to bring the two together, so on March 8, I am inviting women to go outside wherever you are, hug a tree, breathe the fresh air, look at the sunrise or the sunset (or both!), and perhaps gather on the land with other women. Celebrate Being a Woman, and if you feel inclined, let your inner Joy Wolf howl!

For those in the Los Angeles area, we will meet near my home in Topanga, take a gentle hike, then loosely circle up under the canopy of an ancient Oak, where we will relax with a guided “Feed Your Joy Wolf!” visioning process, followed by journaling/voluntary sharing, and who knows, maybe a howl or two! (There is also a tiny labyrinth nearby)

The event will run from 10am – 12 noon.

For those who would like to attend, I request you rsvp here by noon, March 7th, so that I can send you the location and any changes.

For those who are gathering elsewhere and would like a simple event outline to follow, just let me know here, and I'll send one.

Items you might want to bring: water, sunscreen, journal, and a sun hat.

Comfortable hiking attire recommended: closed-toe shoes, comfy pants, and layers, perhaps a long-sleeved overshirt. We will be in the shade during the meditation. Though not necessary, you may also want to bring something to sit or lie on for the meditation/journaling.

Covid protocols: This is an outdoor event including a beginner level hike on a single-file trail and a gathering under a large Oak. Please practice social distancing and any other personal protocols that increase your comfort level.

To save your spot, please fill out the Contact form and include "Intl Women's Day Hike" in your message.

See you soon!
